1265 AD EveshamEdward traps de MontfortAn Introductory scenario for Armati II
# Key Unit Each Cav unit is between 300-500 men. Each SI is 200-300 men Each FT is 1000-1200 men SPECIAL RULES The Map. The ground is rolling and featureless. It was actually a plateau. Dice for position of 2 GRs each side per Armati rules. LB get no stakes! Notes The battle has been changed slightly. We assume that Glouchester has joined Edward, while Mortimer must ford the Avon, to join the battle since Simon destroyed the bridge. Simon must break Edward before end of turn 7. At the start of turn 8, Mortimer appears in Simon's rear, 12" away. Even if Edward breaks, Simon must still contend with Mortimer. Game over 15 turns. Victory: Royalists: break Simon's battle (Which kills him and his Barons.) Barons: Break Edward's battle before turn 8. After must break both battles. Draw if neither happens This is a good introductory battle to try out Armati II. Simon must attack, and Edward must hold him until Mortimer appears in the rear. If he does he is almost assured of victory, but not every battle goes according to plan. Steve Phenow |
