*One may purchase either LHI or LI but not both. The LHI represent Thracians on the western border of Scythian controlled areas. The LI represent Proto-Slavs on the northern forest fringe of the Pontic Steppes and in the middle Dnieper and Bugh River valleys as well as Sindo-Meots on the eastern borders and in the northern Caucausus, Tauri, and pakhari (ploughmen) Scythians.

** Woods are found on the northern forest fringes or river valleys and rough in the Crimea and Caucasus.

The Scythian army that invaded the Middle East in pursuit of the Cimmerians and allied with Assyria may not purchase any infantry units. This prohibition applies to any Pontic Steppes Scythian army in the Middle East. It does not apply to Saka and Eastern allies of the Persians which will be represented in a different list.

The Middle Eastern Scythian army may also fight in Antiquity.
